MIMO Capacity Analysis of Wearable Antennas in FR3 Lower Band

This paper analyzes the channel capacity of wearable antennas in the FR3 lower band (7 GHz). Based on the dynamic motion of human arm swinging, the channel capacities of four different wearable MIMO arrays arrangements are analyzed using a Monte Carlo simulation algorithm. The difference caused by the utilized channel model, Clarke's model and the Cluster model, was compared. The average channel capacity obtained under the Clarke model maintains at 28.5 bits/s/Hz. On the other hand, when using the Cluster model, the wide range fluctuation of MIMO capacity between 18.5 bitslslHz and 32.6 bitslslHz is observed. This fact reveals that the MIMO capacity of a wearable antenna under the Cluster model is more dependent on the practical use scenarios compared to that of the Clarke's model.
