The Fast Method for Coated Multiscale Scatterers

Fast high frequency electromagnetic algorithms are widely used in the calculation of electromagnetic characteristics of multiscale scatterers. The multi-level physical optics (MLPO) method combines the multi-level concept and the high frequency method to realize the fast computation. However, when the structure of the scatterer tends to be complex and its electrical size increases, the MLPO method faces the difficulties of low computational efficiency and high workload. In this work, a multi-level fast physical optics (MLFPO) method for the coated multiscale scatterer is proposed and realizes the accurate and efficient computation. The computational error between MLFPO method and traditional PO method is 1.15dB.
