DC Power Management for Active Phased Array Terminal

A highly intensive active phased array (APA) terminal typically integrates a variety of complex modules on a multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB), including beamformer chips, an up- and down-conversion module, a wave control module, a receiving and transmitting antenna array, and a power supply module. The function of the terminal requires the power supply module to provide a stable output voltage to the remaining modules. In this paper, a power supply system is designed for a vehicle-mounted phased array terminal to step down the +24V external supply to +5V, +3.3V, +2.5V, +1.5V, and +1V.
