Low-Cost Dual-Channel Dielectric Filter Based on Ceramic Additive Manufacturing

In this paper, a low-cost monolithic dual-channel filter based on ceramic additive manufacturing technology is proposed. Utilizing ceramic 3D printing, the resonators (DRs) and the cavity are integrated into a single piece, leading to substantial reductions in manufacturing costs and the elimination of alignment problems. To construct dual channels in the same DR, a dual-mode DR is obtained by constructing a hybrid electromagnetic (EM) boundary by partially connecting the DR with the ceramic cavity. Moreover, a cross-shaped ceramic structure is used as coupling windows. For validation, a monolithic dual-channel filter is fabricated and measured. The measured results show good filtering response and high inter-channel isolation.
