Broadband and High Transmission 45-Degree Polarization Converter

A broadband and high transmission 45° polarization converter is proposed in this paper. Based on a simple cavity structure of polarization gate combined with intermediate dielectric plate of variable dielectric constant material, x-polarized incident wave is effectively converted to 45° polarization mode in the frequency range of wideband 13.5GHz-40GHz (relative bandwidth is 99.1%), and the polarization conversion efficiency of more than 85% is achieved.
