A 95.71% Power Efficiency DC-DC PFM Boost Converter with Recursive Voltage Supply Technique for Low-Power Energy Harvesting Application

This paper presents a highly efficient DC-DC Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) boost converter, tailored for low-power energy harvesting applications, utilizing a recursive voltage supply technique. Designed and simulated using 22nm FDSOI technology in Cadence Virtuoso, the converter demonstrates remarkable performance under varying load and input conditions. The system achieves a stable output voltage with minimal drop, even as the input voltage fluctuates between 300mV and 500mV. Efficiency measurements show up to 95.71% efficiency at lower input voltages, with consistent performance across different load currents. This work represents a significant advancement in energy-efficient electronics, addressing the growing demand for sustainable and autonomous power management solutions.
