A Low-Profile Dual-Polarized Dual-Band Base Station Antenna Based on AMC Structure

In this paper, a dual-band dual-polarized aperture shared low-profile base station antenna based on the AMC structure is proposed. The proposed antenna introduces backcavity boxes which can reshape the radiation environment of highfrequency (HF) antenna. The designed AMC structure can offset the phase reflection of the low-frequency (LF) antenna, thus realizing low-profile antenna. The proposed antenna can cover both 0.69-0.96GHz and 3.3-3.9GHz, and realize isolation of more than 70 dB in LF and 25 dB in HF band. The proposed antenna mains stable gain above 7.5 dBi in LF and 7.8 dBi in HF respectively, and the profile of the proposed antenna is 0.145 λL.
