A Resonant Cavity for the Evaluation of Dielectric Properties of Dielectric Liquids

In the chemical, biological and industrial fields, the concentration of the components of an experimental liquid is determined with the objective of achieving global control of the entire experiment. The concentration of the components is closely related to the dielectric properties. In order to measure the dielectric properties of dielectric liquid materials, a measurement unit has been designed which comprises a coaxial resonant cavity with multiple resonance frequencies and a helical antenna probe. The structure combines the advantages of a high-quality factor for the coaxial resonant cavity and the small size and high radiation energy of the spiral antenna probe, which allows for more effective testing of the dielectric properties of liquid materials based on perturbation theory. This paper primarily presents the background of dielectric liquid materials, the structural design and analysis of the resonant cavity, as well as the simulation and actual measurement results.
