High-Power Microwave Electric Field Measurement Based on Microwave Thermoacoustic Principle

In this paper, a novel scheme is proposed for the direct measurement of high-power microwave electric field based on microwave thermoacoustic principle. To demonstrate this concept, a thermoacoustic probe and a strong electric field environment at low power inputs have been designed and fabricated. The experimental results indicate a significant monotonic relationship between the thermoacoustic signal and the electric field strength, validating the feasibility of this scheme for high-power microwave electric field measurement.
