Experimental Investigation the Effect of Number of Blades of Hydrokinetic Turbine Parameters

The kinetic energy of flowing water is harnessed using devices known as hydrokinetic turbines (HT). The main parameters of this type of turbine are given in the presented Work. Experimental research was done on seven turbines with different number of blades and geometry at three different current velocities -0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 m/s. Based on the results obtained from the experimental studies, the main parameters were calculated and analyzed in order to determine the influence of the number of blades on the efficiency of a similar type of turbine.
