Adaptive Hostel Menu Management using Student Sentiments and Cognitive Insights

Managing hostel menus to align with student preferences is challenging, often leading to dissatisfaction with food quality and taste. This project addresses this issue by developing a web-based application that allows students to select their meals and provide feedback on aspects such as taste and quality. The system is designed to enhance students' well-being by analyzing sentiment feedback to ensure menu adjustments that reflect the preferences of the majority, thereby allowing students to enjoy their preferred meals. The initiative aims to minimize food waste and maximize meal satisfaction through a web-based interface that facilitates communication between food menu managers and the hostel. A dedicated sentiment analysis component will continuously evaluate feedback, guiding the iterative refinement of food offerings and integrating cognitive analysis to monitor the cognitive behavioral trends of the student, thereby acting quickly based on the insights. This approach enhances meal satisfaction and optimizes menu offerings based on trends identification, improving the overall dining experience for students.
