Entropy-Power Loading for OFDM-FSO Communication System Under Atmospheric Turbulence

We applied entropy-power loading to atmospheric turbulence scenarios for the first time. It can achieve 0.35 bits/symbol and 0.47 bits/symbol generalized mutual information (GMI) gains compared to bit-power loading and 0.45 bits/symbol and 0.55 bits/symbol GMI gains compared to fixed-order 64QAM under strong and weak turbulence, respectively.
