Photonic ADC Bandwidth Extension based on Homologous LOs Segment Receiver

In order to meet the increasing bandwidth demand and solve the problem of limited analog-to-digital converter (ADC), we propose a flexible and scalable segment reception architecture, which can extend the limited bandwidth of receiver. The validation experiment shows that the 20 GHz bandwidth QPSK signal is successfully received by 5 GHz bandwidth ADC, with the EVM of 21.46% and no obvious splicing loss.
