Ultra Flexible S-Band lx5 Wavelength Selective Switch based on Off-the-Shelf C-Band Optics

An S-band $1\mathrm{x}5$ WSS prototype covering 1470 to 1520 nm is experimentally demonstrated using off-the-shelf C band optical elements. The main optical performances are measured, showing comparable or even superior performance than commercial S-band Waveshapers.
