Investigating Novel Low-Loss Electrodes for PIN Photodetectors

We present a novel low-loss electrode model, demonstrating a transmission loss of -1.15 dB. When applied to photodetectors and incorporating equivalent circuit calculations, this electrode model results in a nearly 32% increase for 3-dB bandwidth.
