Field Demonstration of High Spectral Efficiency PS-PDM-4096-QAM Coherent Optical Transmission

We experimentally demonstrated the transmission of PS-PDM-4096-QAM signals over installed field fiber. The raw spectral efficiency of 20.381 b/s/Hz is achieved based on the probabilistic shaping data of 21.4-b/symbol information entropy.
