Mainlobe Interference Suppression with Pattern Maintenance Based on Dual-Polarized Conformal Array

When mainlobe interference exists, it is a challenge to ensure the communication of users within the range of the mainlobe while suppressing the interference. In this paper, a new method is proposed to suppress mainlobe interference while ensuring pattern maintenance. The problem of pattern maintenance is developed as a mathematical model of convex optimization. Region-specific measures are implemented for different regions. The difference between the static and dynamic patterns in the mainlobe range is minimized. Simultaneously cross-polarization and sidelobe levels are constrained to maintain the original pattern shape. A linear constraint is added to ensure interference suppression. According to the value of mainlobe retention rate (MRR), the interference null region is gradually reduced to maximize the mainlobe maintenance region. Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
