Effect of Al2O3@SiO2 core-shell nanospheres on the electrical conduction properties of polypropylene

To explore the effect of Al2O3@SiO2 core-shell nanospheres on the electrical conduction of polypropylene, polypropylene samples blending different contents of core-shell nanospheres are prepared. Then, the polarization-depolarization current is measured. The experimental results show that adding Al2O3@SiO2 core-shell nanospheres can increase the number and depth of traps in the nanocomposites, increasing the threshold field strength. With the increase of nanofiller content, the threshold field strength gradually increased.
