Loss Reduction of Single-mode Y-branched Polymer Optical Waveguide for MUX/DEMUX Devices in Mode Division Multiplexing Links

Using the Mosquito method, we fabricate asymmetric single-mode Y-branched waveguides applicable to MUX/DEMUX devices for MDM technology. In order to reduce the insertion loss of Y-branched waveguides, we reexamine the fabrication conditions of symmetric single-mode Y-branched waveguides.
