Analyzing the Impact of Renewable Generation on Power System Rotor-Angle Stability

With the continuous growth of renewable generation, the transmission form of renewable generation integrating with conventional power has become increasingly common in China. Simulation indicates that the control parameters of renewable generation have a significant impact on the system's rotor angle stability. This paper uses a quasi-steady-state modeling approach to analyze rotor angle stability in multi-machine systems. Model order reduction techniques are then employed to further simplify this analysis. Based on this, a way is proposed to use the relative imbalance power as an indicator for studying rotor angle stability, thereby simplifying the research and analysis of the system's rotor angle stability.
