Magnetic Analysis of Fe-Based Nanoparticles for Biomedical Applications

Iron nanoparticles have emerged as a promising frontier in the field of nanomedicine, offering unprecedented potential to revolutionize diagnostics, imaging, targeting, drug delivery, and therapy. Their unique physicochemical properties, such as high surface-to-volume ratio, tunable magnetic properties, and biocompatibility, make them ideal candidates for various biomedical applications. The magnetic properties of the systems have been investigated in ac and dc conditions. The series of zero field cooling/field cooling (ZFC-FC) measurements under different applied dc fields revealed field dependence of the blocking temperature and signatures of interparticle interactions in the system. The strength of the interactions was determined by using different methods. The construction of the Henkel plot indicates the dipole-dipole origin of magnetic interactions. The analysis confirms the presence of intermediate/strong interparticle interactions in agreement with the results obtained from the dc data.
