Optimal Layout of Distributed Wind Turbines in Port Areas Based on Genetic Algorithm

With the scarcity of fossil fuels and the introduction of the dual-carbon target, China is vigorously developing green and clean energy. The capture and utilization of wind energy resources in port areas are the foundation of the operation of multi-energy integration systems in water transports. They are an important component of achieving the goals of green port construction and realizing the national carbon neutrality target. Therefore, a mathematical optimization model of distributed wind power generation systems in port areas was constructed to explore the maximization of wind energy resource capture potential within the limited space of the port area. Firstly, the wind resource situation in ports was analyzed detailed based on the wind resource assessment software. Secondly, genetic algorithms were used to optimize the constructed layout model of wind turbine arrays. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by the final layout schems of the selected wind power turbines.
