A Coastal Area Based Statistical Channel Modeling for 5G Millimeter Wave (mmWave) Heterogeneous Networks

Due to the vast spectrum and likelihood of widespread use in 5G usage, millimeter wave (mmWave) is recommended as a replacement for optical fiber for backhaul. However, human blockage and swift channel fluctuation brought on by user movement are the two key obstacles to mmWave communication adoption in the context of networks. Spatial consistency represents one of the least crucial factors in obtaining uniform channel fluctuations and assisting in the development of estimations of channels and beam tracking purposes. In a real-world setting for an urban macrocell (UMa) in coastal regions like Cox's Bazar, the largest sea beach in the world, this article explores the way human blockage and spatial consistency impact 73 GHz backhaul reliability for 5G mmWave-based networks. A thorough simulation of mmWave backhauling at 73 GHz has been conducted, and the results, e.g., power delay profile (PDP) and shadow fading (SF), will have a big impact on how complex heterogeneous networks of the future model their channels.
