Comparative Analysis of Bilayer Perovskite Solar Cells: Evaluating MASnI3/CsGeI3 and CH3NH3SnBr3/CsGeI3 Structures for Enhanced Performance

This study examines CH3NH3SnBr3/CsGeI3 and MASnI3/CsGeI3 configurations using TiO2 as the electron transport layer (ETL) and Cu2O as the hole transport layer (HTL). Key parameters such as doping concentration and minority carrier lifetime were optimized using SCAPS-1D. Under optimal conditions, CH3NH3SnBr3/CsGeI3 structures achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 26.5%, while MASnI3/CsGeI3 structures reached a PCE of 22.48%. These results highlight the potential of these bilayer structures for efficient lead-free perovskite solar cells, promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions.
