Research on Maximum Power Point Tracking Control Based on Wind Power Generation Control System of Marine Ranch

In this paper, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) simulation experiment is conducted using an H-type vertical axis wind turbine as the experimental control object. First, the mathematical model of the controlled object is established. Based on this model, an aerodynamic torque observer is designed to assess external disturbances, and a backstepping control strategy for MPPT is developed and tested. The simulation results show that, compared to traditional backstepping control, the improved backstepping control algorithm reduces adjustment time by 37% and overshoot by 50%. These findings demonstrate that the improved backstepping control algorithm offers superior control performance.
