A Fuzzy PIDF based adaptive frequency control of a hybrid MG system with bulk RES injection

By incorporating large-scale renewable energy sources, the proportion of traditional energy sources is decreased, which lowers primary frequency control and system inertia. For quick demand generation balance during unavoidable emergencies, a strong frequency control architecture is required. To improve the frequency response of a hybrid microgrid system (h-MG), a new marine predator algorithm (MPA) optimized fuzzy PID with filter (FPIDF) is presented. Using the MPA, the gains of the FPIDF controller, bounds of membership functions, and input scaling factors are all optimized. The effectiveness of the suggested controller is assessed in the h- MG using various energy storage and renewable energy sources (RES). Moreover, an analysis is provided that contrasts the suggested MPA-based FPIDF controllers with earlier controller designs, including PIDF and PID. To ascertain the suggested controller's compassion and resilience to variations in wind rapidity, periodic loads, sun irradiation and system parameter variations, a range of scenarios are also investigated. Lastly, the findings show that the novel FPID-based controllers generally improve the frequency-time responsiveness of the hybrid microgrid system under all investigated circumstances.
