ALPHA-EDU: An Educational Platform for Alphabet Learning with AI

In contemporary society, children have become accustomed to acquiring information through images and their learning is often enhanced by the use of visual aids in education. This article presents an educational computer application designed for preschool children to assist in learning the letters of the Latin alphabet. Given the benefits of incorporating the concept of gamification into the educational process, a fun and engaging game was created to help students make visual associations between letters and animal images. Using the application, which is based on convolutional neural networks, children draw letters by connecting dots on the screen, can move from one level of the application to another and thus learn animal names more easily. By utilizing various programming languages, effectively training a model for letter recognition and developing an intuitive graphical user interface, it has been demonstrated that a practical and engaging application has been created, which has been well-received by children.
