Virtual Circuit based Real Time Wearable Device for Alerting Erroneous Neck Posture

This Due to the increasing use of electronic devices and physical inactivity, poor neck postures and musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), which can negatively impact cervical spine health, are now on the rise. Current neck posture monitoring devices lack up to date features such as proactive, real-time feedback, adequate notification systems, comfort and adjustments. To fulfill the existing limitations, a smart neck posture monitoring IoMT device based on an ESP32 microcontroller and MPU6050 sensor is proposed. The proposed system raises a voice-over alert and sends a mobile notification alert whenever a bad posture is detected. It also allows us to visualize the changes in neck orientation with the help of ThingSpeak software. Our device aims to prevent possible neck posture deterioration by eliminating the disadvantages of a range of available solutions. It will contribute to the improvement of neck posture habits, minimizing potential MSDs and increasing user’s awareness of monitor postures.
