Adaptive Application for Cognitive Training on Selective Attention

The effectiveness of brain training apps is still under scrutiny within academia, with differing views among scholars and experts. We developed a user-friendly adaptive application for cognitive training on selective attention, employing three tasks adapted from the cognitive psychology literature (i.e., Stroop, Visual Search, Simon tasks). The validation in an 8-week training protocol showed a significant improvement in 14 participants' performance and the adaptation of the app to their optimal difficulty level.
