Study of the Energy Efficiency of Passenger Ship at Different Generator Loads

The purpose of this report is to show the possibilities of energy efficiency in different operation of diesel generators on an IB type cruise ship. The cruise ship-specific method of collecting, calculating, summarizing and reporting data in different operating modes of the ship in terms of annual consumption of fuel, distance traveled, electricity generated, hours in motion and other data. According to regulation 22A of Annex VI to MARPOL, data on fuel consumption and miles traveled must be collected, aggregated and reported on board the ship during various modes of operation of the ship. The production and consumption of electrical energy is considered if the generators operate in the range of 40%-90% capacity. A comparison is made regarding fuel consumption and the amount of emissions released.
