Optimization of Beamforming Strategy Applied to a Dual Core Probe for US-Guided Sonoporation

In this work, a new ultrasound probe with dual-mode capabilities is proposed for ultrasound-guided sonoporation. This probe combines a high-frequency linear array (20 MHz) for the imaging function and a low-frequency matrix array (1MHz with 256 elements) for the therapy function. This work focuses on the low-frequency part of the probe. Different beamforming are studied to meet the sonoporation requirements. In-vitro tests are undertaken to validate one of the chosen beamforming and to validate the probe properties for sonoporation applications.
