Web application and Mobile application based Student Attendance Management System for Facial Recognition Attendance

Mobile applications can be utilized as attendance applications to check the presence of students in the class. The most convenient identified method is face recognition, which uses a camera on a mobile device. The existing attendance management system based on can only check one student's attendance at a time, which would only be efficient for a small number of students. Some studies can check student attendance via multiple-face recognition only once time. In this study, an attendance management system was proposed to track student attendance by using multiple-face recognition. The lecturer can take a photo three times at a maximum to check student attendance, which cooperates in real-time with the web application to verify the result from face recognition. The lecturer can download the statistics that record the student attendance from the first class until the current class in an Excel file.
