Analysis of the Influence Mechanism of Big Data Application on the Environmental Performance of Manufacturing Enterprises

Big data, as a key technology of the digital economy, provides a new opportunity to improve the environmental performance of enterprises, and this paper systematically examines the impact of big data applications on the environmental performance of manufacturing enterprises. The research results show that big data applications can significantly improve the environmental performance of manufacturing enterprises. Big data application mainly realizes the environmental performance enhancement of manufacturing enterprises through two channels, which are improving production efficiency and green innovation efficiency. With the improvement of enterprise digital innovation orientation, the environmental performance promotion effect of big data applications is more obvious. The above findings provide a theoretical basis for the relationship between big data application and enterprise environmental performance and provide practical suggestions for heavily polluting enterprises to utilize big data to implement digital transformation strategies to improve environmental performance.
