Productivity Improvement Through Energy Efficiency Training in Manufacturing Industry

This study examines the impact of integrating energy efficiency training with energy audits in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs on employee behavior, productivity, and energy consumption in the automotive manufacturing sector. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical method, the research involved 100 randomly selected employees. Data were collected through energy audits, surveys, and interviews. Descriptive statistical analyses were used to evaluate changes in energy awareness and productivity. The findings demonstrate that integrating energy efficiency training with energy audits significantly increases employee awareness and productivity while reducing energy consumption. This approach provides long-term benefits for operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, offering robust empirical support for energy management practices. The results indicate that energy audits not only serve as evaluation tools but also enhance employees' energy awareness and promote sustainable behavioral changes. Despite limitations, such as the focus on the automotive sector and potential respondent bias, the study highlights the practicality of integrating energy audits into training programs. This research enriches the existing literature by demonstrating that the synergy between training and auditing leads to more effective energy management. The findings advocate for broader adoption of integrated approaches in manufacturing to improve operational efficiency and achieve sustainability goals.
