Requirements for Local Regulations on EMF Produced by Electric Lines

Extremely low frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic fields (EMF) produced by electric lines are included in the environmental impact evaluation of electric lines. The definition of the corresponding local regulation is the responsibility of each local authority. In this paper we discuss the contents of this local regulation if it final objective is to protect the public health. We refer to our first experiences in the application of the local regulation to real cases.
