Smart LPG Leak Detection System

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a common cooking fuel in developing regions, yet it presents challenges including fluctuating levels and safety concerns related to gas leaks. This paper presents a novel monitoring and alert system for home LPG cylinders designed to address these issues. The proposed system integrates a load sensor to continuously measure gas levels and estimate the remaining usage time. To further enhance safety, an MQ-2 sensor is included to detect gas leaks. The system uses an ESP8266 microcontroller to transmit data to a mobile application, allowing users to monitor LPG levels and leak status in real time. This approach aims to significantly improve user convenience and safety compared to existing solutions.
