Arduino Based Internal Fault Detector for Cables and Wires

This project uses an Arduino microcontroller to find and locate internal cable line faults. In many environments, electrical cables are buried rather than overhead, making it difficult to locate faults when they occur. The proposed system aims to accurately identify the location of these faults by utilizing an Arduino and relay.Faults are simulated using a series of switches, with relays being managed by a relay driver. The system displays the fault location in kilometers from the central station on a 16x2 LCD screen connected to the microcontroller. When a fault occurs, voltage changes across a set of resistors are converted into digital data via an ADC . The Arduino processes this data to determine and display the distance to the fault.
