IoT-Enabled Monitoring and Control System with Wireless Drip Rate Monitoring

Infusion therapy plays a crucial role in delivering medications and fluids to patients, but it often requires close monitoring and manual intervention by healthcare providers. The InfuCare system addresses these challenges by integrating IoT-enabled devices and advanced analytics to enable remote monitoring, control, and optimization of infusion processes. At its core, the InfuCare system consists of IoT-enabled infusion pumps equipped with sensors to monitor parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and volume infused. These pumps communicate with a central monitoring platform via IoT connectivity modules, transmitting real-time data on infusion progress and patient status. A drip rate monitoring device can be used to measure the rate of intravenous infusion. There is now a wireless drip rate monitoring gadget available. In order to detect the drops, this gadget uses Ultrasonic TX (UTX) and Ultrasonic RX (URX). The sensor was installed to the drip chamber using a mountable clasp mechanism. The device determines the drip rate using a microprocessor, and when the drip rate goes outside of the predetermined range, the Wi-Fi connection module wirelessly alerts the central monitoring station. The technology guarantees real-time tracking of drip infusion parameters in this virtual environment, including accurate fluid level readings and physiological response monitoring. The smooth communication in the simulated environment made possible by the integration with Node MCU illustrates the design’s potential for developing an intelligent and networked healthcare infrastructure. IR sensor, DHT11, and HBR/SPO2 are used for remotely tracking human health care.
