Arduino Based Smart Metering System with Smart 2560

The main goal of this paper is to create a smart energy meter system by utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) and the Arduino Mega microcontroller. The goal is to develop a practical and effective real-time energy management and monitoring system. The Arduino Mega serves as the project's core processing unit for data collecting and communication, and sensors are used to measure electricity usage. Real-time monitoring of electricity consumption is made possible by the technology, giving consumers precise insights into their usage patterns. Enhancing the energy meter's overall performance by processing and controlling data efficiently with the help of the robust Arduino Mega microcontroller. By improving accessibility and convenience, integration with IoT enables users to remotely access and operate the energy meter via a web or mobile interface. Through the identification and highlighting of high-energy consumption regions, the system encourages energy conservation by empowering users to make decisions that will lessen their influence on the environment. Enabling consumers to establish preferences or receive notifications based on their energy usage, as well as showing pertinent data, is all made possible via an intuitive interface.
