Fuzzy Logic Control for Efficient Operation of Fuel Cell-Powered Buck Converters

This research provides a fuzzy logic-based fuel cell stack-powered buck converter control system. Fuel cell output is unpredictable and nonlinear, necessitating a control strategy that can adjust to shifting circumstances and keep the output voltage steady. Using a rule-based methodology, the suggested fuzzy logic controller (FLC) handles the variation in inaccuracy as well as the discrepancy between the desired and actual output voltage. Because the FLC is not dependent on a precise mathematical model like other controllers are, it can adjust to the intricacies of fuel cell dynamics. The FLC provides higher overall efficiency, fast response to load fluctuations, and improved voltage stability, as shown by simulation and experimental findings. This methodology offers a resilient and flexible resolution for power conversion in fuel cell systems, guaranteeing peak efficiency and prolonging the fuel cell’s operational life.
