OCR based transliteration of Brahmi to Tamil using CNN

This project aims to develop an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system that can translate Brahmi script into Tamil automatically. Data preparation, picture preprocessing, character mapping with JTessBoxEditor, producing training data, and building a trained model are some of the phases involved in the suggested system. After that, handwritten Brahmi images are used to test the system, and an intuitive web interface is created to make the transliteration process easier. In order to close the gap between ancient scripts and modern Tamil, this research makes use of contemporary OCR technology and image processing, which improves comprehension and interpretation of historical texts.
