FPGA Implementation of Health Monitoring System for High-Risk Cardiac Patients

In biomedical applications, monitoring cardiac patients is a challenging task. Thus, the goal of our research is to design and construct a portable, lightweight, affordable telecardiac device that will allow remote cardiac patient monitoring. An arrhythmia detector based on temperature changes is being built with the help of MATLAB tools. In this case, advanced wavelet decomposition methods are being used. As technology develops, more people are paying attention to their health. The heart is the most vital organ in the body. In this paper, the QRS complex detector uses 108 sets from the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database and achieved Sensitivity of 97.62% with SNR of 19.76 dB.
