Design and Implementation of Underwater Acoustic Signal Acquisition and Display Software Based on PyQt5

In underwater target detection experiments, real-time signal processing and result display of collected underwater acoustic signal data are very important for the experiment. This paper has designed and implemented an underwater acoustic signal acquisition and display software based on PyQt5. This software can control the acquisition device to collect real-time underwater acoustic signal data received by active sonar, and perform relevant signal processing and result display on the data in real time. This software uses a serial port to achieve communication between the software and the acquisition device. It controls the acquisition device by calling the C++ dynamic link library provided by the acquisition device developer. The software obtains real-time underwater acoustic signal data from the acquisition device, and then performs relevant signal processing on the underwater acoustic signal data. The data processing results are displayed in the form of time-domain graphs, spectrograms, and target trajectory graphs. During the experiment, users can also save the experiment data in real time as needed, and replay these experiment data files as needed after the experiment. Through extensive practical testing, this paper has demonstrated that the software effectively achieves real-time acquisition, signal processing, and result display of underwater acoustic signals. It has the advantages of low code volume, high execution efficiency, strong stability, and good scalability.
