An Algorithm Based on LIDAR Point Cloud to Extract Risk Points for Slope Cutting and Building

There are some problems about slope cutting and building, just like much risk areas in the research area, much difficulties in field investigation, and urgent risk warning. This paper based on LIDAR point cloud, introducing an algorithm which extracting risk points for slope cutting and building in low mountain and hilly areas of Wuhan City. The feasibility of the algorithm was verified, which can provide certain reference and guidance for geologic hazard, and also provide basic data supporting the investigation, prevention, monitoring, and warning of geologic hazard, further serve urban planning and construction.
