A Smart PID Temperature Control for Drying Plantain Flakes

The study focuses on designing and implementing a smart PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) temperature control system specifically for efficiently drying plantain flakes. The Arduino Nano microcontroller utilizes a PID algorithm to dynamically adjust the operations of the electric heater and fan based on real-time temperature data from the DHT11 sensor. This capability ensures that the system can achieve and sustain the desired temperature conditions necessary for drying. User interaction is facilitated through a 16×2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and push-button interface, allowing real-time chamber temperature monitoring and system status. Each component of this smart PID system is essential for creating a controlled and uniform drying environment. Integrating voltage regulators, transistors, resistors, capacitors, and diodes enhances power distribution and signal modulation, improving the system's reliability and stability.
