Service Guarantee in Multi-Priority Traffic: A Spatial Network Calculus Perspective

This paper extends classical network calculus to spatial scenarios, adapting it to manage the spatial distribution of links in wireless device-to-device networks. Considering the wireless network with multi-priority users, we propose two regulations to characterize the upper bounds of the total power for transmitters and total received interference for users. Using the bipolar model, we introduce a power resource allocation strategy tailored for multi-priority traffic. Inspired by Shannon's theorem, we define a logarithmic relationship between the required signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and transmitter power for different user classes. This method aims to ensure quality of service (QoS) of all links across varying traffic priorities by integrating spatial and power allocation regulations. The result is enhanced network performance, quantified by improvements in link reliability and the establishment of lower bounds on SINR thresholds.
