A Design of Multi-Brain Region Electrical Stimulation System Based on Real-Time Feedback Regulation Online for Neuromodulation Therapy

The rapid progress of neuromodulation therapy provides new opportunities for the biomedical and healthcare engineering. Currently, there is an increasing population of patients suffering from neural diseases. Previous studies have demonstrated that transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) can improved brain dysfunction recovery, which is a common neuromodulation technique. However, at present tES has still problems to be solved for clinical and research usage. Here, we show a novel design system of tES with multi-brain regions regulated based on real-time feedback online for neuronal neuromodulation therapy. It is characterized by the ability to distinguish the stimulus and the acquisition signals, the output and the collected signals are carried out at the same time for realize the automatic electrical signals adjustment and multi-target regulate modulation. It would be more benefit for the treatment of neuronal disorders.
