Enhancing Energy Efficiency through Human-less Automation at Laboratory

This research paper explores the functionality of temperature sensors and motion sensors for making an Arduino-based laboratory automation system. In this paper the tube lights and fans of laboratory are controlled by sensing the human presence using motion sensors. The combination of DHT 11 temperature sensor and motion sensor enables improvements in accessibility, safety, energy saving and efficiency in the laboratory environments. Four laboratories at department are automatically controlled. Additionally, DHT 11 temperature sensors sense the temperature of laboratory environment and according to that fans speed operated.
