On the Design of 4/5-Rate Energy-Harvesting Constraint Code

Energy-harvesting sliding-window constrained block codes ensure that within any window of $\ell$ consecutive bits of a binary coded sequence, there are at least $t$ 1 's, where $\ell\leq t\leq \ell$. This code provides numerous advantages for systems utilizing a large number of sensors, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, and wireless body networks. In this study, we specifically design a 4/5-rate sliding-window constrained block code that guarantees at least $t=31$ 's within any prescribed window of $\ell=7$ consecutive bits. The encoding and decoding processes rely solely on simple mapping tables, significantly reducing system complexity.
