Generator Efficiency Testing: Gasoline vs. Propane in the Haitian Context

Propane for small scale electricity production in Haiti has significant advantages over gasoline with respect to pricing and availability. This work compares the efficiency of a 1.8 kW inverter/generator using two fuels: gasoline and propane. Using an after-market conversion kit, the efficiency using propane is higher, a result that further solidifies propane's superiority as a fuel type for electricity generation at small scale.
